Wind speed sensor
2740 measures the average wind speed and the maximum wind speed (gust) during the sampling interval. Measuring range is up to 79 m/s, with a treshold
speed less than 0.3 m/s. Output is given in two chanels, average wind speed in chanel one, and wind gust in chanel two. Wind direction sensor 3590 measures the wind direction wiht an accuracy better that ±5°. The threshold speed is 0.3 m/s. Operating temperature is -40 to +50°C. Both sensors are robust, have low power drain and are easily fitted to AADI´s weather station AWS 2700. |

Belfort Instrument
company United States of America |
The Aerovane® Wind Transmitter, P/N 120, is a precision
instrument for measuring the speed and direction of wind. Wind speed
is sensed by a 3-bladed impeller which is mounted to the shaft of a
DC generator; the output of which is linear with respect to wind
speed. Handheld anemometer RVM 96B is an easy to use electronic mechanical device for wind measurements. It is used where other instruments, due to weight or dimensions, are unsuitable. Belfort also has ultrasonic anemometers as well. |

CLIMATRONICS
United States of America |
Climatronics Corporation manufactures the F460 and Wind Mark III
wind sets, with cup anemometers and wind vanes. Both systems meet the US EPA
monitoring requirements for environmental applications, and the F460 wind sets
are the principal wind measuring system in use at US nuclear power plants. Climatronics has developed and is producing a sonic anemometer, the Sonimometer™, of novel design that can replace traditional cup anemometers and wind vanes. With no moving parts, it requires no periodic maintenance, lowering the user's life-cycle costs. Our unique design means that it can tolerate a build-up of dirt, dust, snow, or other foreign matter without measurement degradation. Accuracy is improved since there are no 'arms' supporting the transducers to move, vibrate, or to provide roosts for birds. The digital output of the Sonimometer™ also means that there will be no conversion (A-D) or line-loss errors. Low power consumption makes the Sonimometer™ ideal for remote, battery-powered monitoring stations. |

METEK GmbH Germany |
METEK GmbH is producer of the Ultrasonic Anemometer USA-1 for local measurements of the 3 dimensional wind
vector and turbulence parameters. The sensor is used in air quality networks, mountain areas and research facilities. Due to the
heating in the sensor head (up to 100 Watt heating power) the sensor can be used even in harsh icing conditions. SODAR systems provide the 3-dimensional wind vector in a profile over the system. This information is important for wind farm design, investigations of dispersion of air pollutants or lower atmospheric boundary layer research. |

| METEOLABOR
AG Switzerland |
Meteolabor wind gauges WN37 and WNZ37 measure the east/west and north/south wind components separately, thus allowing the most important horizontal wind velocity to be determined. The WNZ37 model measures the vertical component as well. WMSC37 is a high-quality cup anemometer suitable for applications where only the wind speed and not its direction is of interest. As the propellers or cups revolve, the rate of rotation is measured using hall-effect sensors which allow operation without direct contact, free from feedback effects. As a result, the sensors react very well to the slightest air movements. |
