Muir Matheson specialises in the design, manufacture, installation and maintenance of weather monitoring systems aimed at the marine and aviation markets in addition to national meteorological services.
We have the following specialist products:
  • Metcom – aviation meteorological software to produce METAR/SPECI reports with a built-in ATIS.
  • Pace – general meteorological data acquisition, display, archiving and distribution package. Includes software for cloud and visibility analysis and SYNOP and CLIMAT report production either automatically or with human intervention.
  • WebMET – data networking system for Internet distribution. Applications include national meteorological service’s data distribution and marine networks in UK and Caspian Sea.

An active research and development programme includes further development of the WebMET system and automatic image processing for cloud and visibility analysis.
