developed systems for the monitoring of the atmospheric
particles. The
eye safety backscattering
microlidar CAML370-2 measures the backscattering profiles related
to aerosols and cirrus. A high vertical resolution about 15m and a
maximum height of 30km make this system suitable for the monitoring of
the aerosol vertical distribution. |

Black Carbon (BC):
For accurate and sensitive
real-time measurement of black carbon, DMT offers several choices.
The
Single Particle Soot Photometer (SP2) measures incandescence from
single BC-containing particles providing BC mass (independent of mixing
state), number concentration and size distribution. A family of
Photoacoustic Soot Spectrometers (PASS) measures ensemble
particulate light absorption and scattering at different wavelengths,
producing climate-relevant properties like single scattering albedo (SSA)
from a single instrument. Both techniques measure particles in-situ,
thus eliminating filter artifacts. Cloud Condensation Nuclei (CCN): DMT’s CCN Counter is the world standard for measuring aerosol particles that can form cloud droplets. |

JENOPTIK DEFENSE & CIVIL SYSTEMS (ESW GMBH - SENSOR SYSTEMS) Germany |
ESW GmbH develops and manufactures
optoelectronic laser sensors for reliable and cost-effective
measurements in meteorological, industrial, traffic monitoring and
military applications. The CHM 15k ceilometers measure aerosol height profiles, cloud base heights, penetration depths, and vertical visibility. With an operating range up to 50.000 ft (15 km) it is the first ceilometer which reliably detects multi-cloud layers and high cirrus clouds. The low-maintenance sensor is designed to work autonomously at any climate and throughout the year. |

LEOSPHERE presents the
EZ Cloud & Aerosol
Lidar, a LIDAR dedicated to cloud and aerosol monitoring. • Aerosols and clouds layering • Base and top of clouds (if penetrable) • Optical properties of aerosols layers, low clouds and subvisible cirrus clouds • Global tracking of large scale dust transport • Water vapour profiles (mixing ratio) • Visibility factor in remote areas. |

SpectraSensors, inc. United States of America |
The SpectraSensors WVSS-II provides laser fast and highly accurate measurement of water vapor, an essential parameter needed for observation of Atmospheric Composition that has until now been missing from aircraft observations. The use of Tunable Diode Laser, TDL, technology enables accuracies suitable for In-Situ monitoring of Atmospheric Composition at altitudes and locations previously unavailable. |
