HMEI and WMO Expert Teams

WMO EXPERT TEAMS and TERMS OF REFERENCE
HMEI Members can participate in any of the WMO Expert Teams. The list of these Expert Teams and their Terms of Reference is available from the hyperlink above.

  The HMEI is calling for all members to consider nominating personnel to participate in the Expert Team Meetings relevant to their areas of interest. The HMEI seeks to create a representation of experts from across the range of companies in HMEI, both in terms of size and regions. In this way a true representation of the HMEI membership will be possible.

Wherever possible (usually when it is held in Geneva, due to budget restraints) the Secretariat also attends the Expert Team Meetings.

If you would like to participate in any of these expert teams and have an input into international decisions affecting our industry, please contact the Executive Secretary at hmei@wmo.int.

If you are a new member, your nomination to any of these positions can be put forward concurrently with your application to join the HMEI.

PARTICIPATION IN CIMO EXPERT TEAMS
HMEI already has a strong participation in CIMO Expert Teams. Details of the HMEI representation in CIMO ETs is shown below.

The Commission for Instruments and Methods of Observation (CIMO), within WMO, has requested the HMEI to nominate industry experts who would be willing to participate in meetings of CIMO expert teams.

The following companies have volunteered to represent HMEI at Expert Team Meetings:
A1 - HMEI representatives from Campbell Scientific, Environmental Measurements, Logotronic and Vaisala. 
A2 - HMEI representatives from Logotronic and Vaisala.
A3 - HMEI representatives from Vaisala, Kipp and Zonen.
B1 - HMEI representatives from InterMet Systems, Meisei, Modem, Graw, Meteolabor and Vaisala.
B2 - HMEI representatives from InterMet Systems, Meisei, Modem, Graw, Meteolabor and Vaisala.
B3 - HMEI representatives from Radiometrics and Vaisala.
C1 - HMEI representative from Vaisala.
