HMEI Report - 9th session of WHYCOS International Advisory Group (WIAG), Geneva, Switzerland, 8-9 December 2011
This WMO Chief of Hydrological Forecasting and Water Resources Division directly invited the Executive Secretary of HMEI, Bruce Sumner to attend to represent the Association at this meeting of the Advisory Group. Report - Minutes of the HMEI General Assembly 2011, Geneva Convention Centre, Geneva, Switzerland, 25 May, 2011
This General Assembly (GA) took place on the occasion of the METEOHYDEX during the 15th WMO Congress. The new Chairman of HMEI was elected at this GA and changes were made to the Rules and Regulations of the Association. The minutes were taken by the HMEI Secretariat, B. Sumner and C. Charstone.  Report - IOC for Radar Quality Control and Quantative Precipitation Estimation (RQQI), Exeter, UK, 14-15, April, 2011
This was a set up meeting to needed organise a project to Intercompare radar quality control algorithms for Quantitative Precipitation Estimation (QPE) applications; Develop best practices recommendations for WMO Members; and Quantify the quality of QPE radar products globally.

Report – INTERNATIONAL ORGANIZING COMMITTEE (IOC) FOR UPPER-AIR INSTRUMENTS INTERCOMPARISONS, PAYERNE, Switzerland, 9-31 MARCH 2011
 The objective of the meeting was to finalise the report of the WMO Intercomparison of Radiosonde Systems, held in Yangjiang, China on 13 July to 1 August 2010. The HMEI Executive Secretary, B. Sumner attended the first day of this meeting to meet with the Radiosonde manufacturers, and to provide any support required.  Please see his report here.
