Report -  Meeting of GCOS Reference Upper Air Network (GRUAN), Lindenberg, Germany, 26-28 February 2008
 Rémy Pepin from Modem - HMEI expert on Radiosondes manufacturers, Pekka.Utela from Vaisala - HMEI expert on genreral upper-air network instrumentation and Bruce Sumner - HMEI Executive Secretary, attended this meeting on the setting up of the GRUAN network.

Report - HMEI General Assembly at the 88th AMS Annual Meeting, New Orleans, USA, January 2008
 HMEI held its 2008 General Assembly of Members at AMS on Tuesday 22 January, 2008 at 9am in Room 232 of the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans, Louisiana.  Thirty -seven people attended. Items discussed included the amelioration of the HMEI Member Product Catalogue to include more detailed information on Members' Products and discussions regarding status of the collaboration between HMEI and WMO in making the Catalogue acceptable for endorsement by WMO.

HMEI had a booth at the AMS 86th General Assembly Exhibition. There was also, as usual, a very good turnout of HMEI Members exhibiting at AMS88.
