Vaisala has been quick to see the value of participation in these events. Following the success of HMEI representation at the initial Expert Team meetings held in November, Vaisala has nominated representatives for three further Expert Teams: A1Expert Team on Surface Technology and Measurement Techniques; A2 Expert Team on Surface-based Instrument Intercomparisons and Calibration Methods; and C2 Expert Team on RICs, Quality Management Systems and Commercial Instrument Initiatives; which means they are now participating in six CIMO Expert Teams. Companies who cannot necessarily send participants to all parts of the world which host these meetings, may nevertheless like to consider nominating participants who can go to relevant meetings when and as they are held in their nearby regions. The HMEI Secretariat will also attend such meetings when they are held in Geneva or when funding is available for the Secretariat to travel to the venue of such events.
