Meisei introduces new Automated Radiosonde System (ARS) - Unattended Radiosonde launching and observing

Meisei’s ARS automatically sets up the Radiosonde observation and pre-flight check followed by filling the balloons with gas. It will also launch radiosondes unattended. The ARS then automatically receives radio signals from the Radiosonde and GPS satellite, converts the signal of the observed data to meteorological messages and forwards them to the national meteorological agency for weather service. The ARS is a cost effective system for locations hard to work in, hard to travel to and hard to provide manpower for.

The ARS automatically launches radiosondes up to 16 times without attendant’s assistance. It duplicates labor-intensive manual processes and operations to save total operating costs.

The ARS requires only periodic servicing by a single Radiosonde technician who may not always necessary to be skillful.

The Meisei ARS is a Fully Automated System That Can Automatically Process Radiosonde Operations.
